Teague, Arzani, D'Agostino and Ibusuki all came back to the AL in this transfer window. We got Nduka. I really hope this analytics is right because this feels really disappointing atm.

I assume he’s debuting today.

Tonights goals!

Dont see any reason why they can't win the whole thing from here.

if Mata pulls the strings like he has done recently they will all benefit

Consistency is key; problem is I’m still not convinced by Diles. Bloke’s no tactical genius by any stretch of the imagination, and IMHO he was stoked by the win more out of pressure on him being loosened than anything else.

It makes me wonder what we could achieve with a different coach and number 9.

I think he is a decent tactician. he really destroyed Ufuk's press on Monday.

But he has an issue with getting this team playing consistent football. That suggests to me he is more of a tactician than a man manager.

It was frustrating seeing us play so well on Monday, then probably dish up dogshit on Sunday in Gosford.

The premiers plate is there for the taking for anyone who is able to go on a run... and our fixtures over the next months isn't too bad. If we are going to make a move, now is the time.

Agree we're inconsistent. I think we also have trouble organising a defence. Our players are good enough to do better there so I see it as a coaching issue.

Pretty much every club is inconsistent this season. In the past 5 games, with the exception of Jets, no club has strung together more than 2 consecutive wins. At this point in the season we would typically see 1 or 2 sides starting to pull away from the pack, however we haven't seen that. Less than 2 wins separate 1st and 8th. SFC have played 2 less games than MAC, but are only 1 point off 3rd. Nothing about this whole season is consistent.
Realistically there are probably a bunch of different reasons for this. Injuries, poor recruiting, or maybe this generation of coaches are a bit lacking in certain areas for one reason or another.
