Having said that, based on tehe hysterical response from adelaide fans against MV fans, I can say that out of all his accusations, these ones are definitely true. I'd strip tehm of their license just to be sure.

I'd say his perception of what may or may not have been occurring in regards to his orientation is probably correct however he just wasn't good enough, it happens. I'm pretty much certain that there are gay players in all sports worldwide who probably wouldn't want to make it known what they are.
 
Has he given specifics of who said what etc? Of course he is entitled to keep that private but its hard to evaluate without specifics

Yeah the AFL still has never had an openly gay man playing in it.

Not really, he just kinda said stuff like the team dropped him for being gay despite poor performances as well as that teammates mocked a photo of him.

The second sounds more concrete, first hard to verify

I remember when khawaja wasnt getting picked ages ago. Cricket is such a numerical sport that its easy to see something odd, he was averaging 2 to3 runs more than people getting selected ahead of him. I doubt he wouldnt have been picked if there was a 10 run difference but i definitely buy it could make a difference in marginal cases.
 
Adelaide United legend Travis Dodd has broken his silence on the accusations. He has said that while he has "a lot of time for Josh" and is disappointed he felt that way, he is also disappointed in his comments. He has denied any accusations of institutional homophobia at the club and has said that sexuality never came into consideration when picking squads or lineups.

in the end both sides are innocent till proven guilty

maybe Josh isn't sharing specifics because they are personal and he is entitled to that, and in the end without specifics AU are entitled to defend their reputation and none of us need to figure out who is in the right

I think "both sides are innocent until proven guilty" was lost during the culture wars of the last 10 years. People would either pile on the alleged victim accusing them of false accusation or pile on the alleged perpetrator

Plenty of that in those sports too. We're just not in their feed loop. If you checked the Herald Sun all the time or Fox Footy there are issues regularly enough.

Most of those issues revolve around umpiring, rules, media generated. Serious ones such as player misbehaviour is reported and then buried. Even more buried are fan behaviour.

I think more is buried than reported yet there are enough cases of misbehaviour that make the press. People have short memories and these things don't shock or get much of a reaction these days.

AFL players have media training. Not sure about A League. In the end some people will go rogue and post about a club for their own attention seeking behaviour.
 
Not surprised his teammates mocked the photo of him (if true). He looked ridiculous. In front of the grandstand

If he was straight it would be just as stupid too.

Like those ultras who have wedding photos with their mates ripping flares (that’s even gayer and more homo erotic than Josh btw)
