Avondale FC (and soon Preston Lions) left-winger and attacking midfielder Aamir Abdallah is the only player at AFCON who plays for a club in Australia. The 26-year-old also coaches Avondale's under-12s team.

Today he started and scored before being subbed off for Sudan against Senegal in their 3–1 loss in the round of 16!

Apparently trialed at Perth last season and wasn’t offered a deal

Also apparently trialed at Western as well
