Good morning all.

I occassionally watch the YouTube channel titled 'My Blue Heaven'.

This is the channel of a Carlton supporter (Australian Rules Football). He started travelling around to old grounds that were once part of the VFL (now AFL)..

He has NOW moved on to NSL grounds! His first stadium was the old Middle Park stadium.

But now he has moved on to Schintler Reserve!

I urge you all to watch them.

Watching the South Melbourne Hellas episode now. Sad that there is nothing from the old stadium still there. My hometown in Portugal moved stadiums too. They build apartments on the old field but you can still see the ticket box there which is pretty cool.
Perhaps the saddest demolition is that of the stadium where Italy defeated Brazil in the 1982 World Cup in Spain

Respect to that bloke✊🏼
Pity about the snide anti-⚽️ crap in the replies of the Middle Park vid from the AFL mouthbreathers though😔

As for the former site of Schintler Reserve, catch the 220 bus to the CBD and it drives right past.

Its less than 1km away, I drive past sometimes but there is nothing there but the back of pit lane...

Middle Park was no where near the current pit building.

Where do you drive past? I was taken there a long time ago but cant remember its exact location. Is it off Canterbury rd?
No, Its at the end of the pit lane off Augtie drive to the right between Canterbury road and the race track... I rarely turn in but there are signs around there point to Paul Trimboli field from memory.. nothing to see, but I seem to remember a plaque somewhere near a pavilion... Ill check it out again next matchday.
