Summer of Cricket thread

Prob only Khawaja threw it away as he hit it down fielders throat, but rest were due to the pitch. Could say Weatherald misjudged his leave, but that also looked to cut back marginally.

With these short Tests gotta pity those punters that saved their coin to see either day, 3, 4 or 5. Specially the Pommie fans that had the added expense of air fare and accomodation.

Green done by the extra bounce in this track trying to run it to deep third. Another promising innings cut short by himself, with a leave being the better option.

Mitchell Starc caught by Joe Root for a two ball duck. Brydon Carse now with his fourth wicket and Australia 9/122 in the second innings, leading by 164 runs.

Haven’t really followed or watched much due to festivities but seriously what a joke I’m seeing score wise.
Is the curator gonna be hung Richie ?

Reckon he will be mate. No Test match should last only two days. We have had two in this series as dont see the Poms batting into tomorrow.

Jhye Richardson caught by Zak Crawley for 7 off 10 deliveries. Australia all out for 132 in the second innings of the Boxing Day Test, with England chasing 175 runs to win.

174 will it be too steep a climb for the Pommies. I say yes but we have to bowl like we did in f/i, no leaking runs from bad balls Starc.

Kooka is nipping off the seam prob even more than yesterday making life a nitemare for the batsman. A 180 lead tho should win it for us. I can see the ICC giving this pitch a fail.
0nly 174 target for Poms.

Incredible!

Game can go to 6.30pm, indicating a result is possible.

If Green isn't dropped for Sydney, George Bailey and his cronies should be sacked.
Got a hate on this guy havent you. He has done no worse than most of our specialist bats. There was his dumb shot in Brissie when he fell for a set trap. Only negative that I see. Bowling has been more than useful too for someone that has only been given a very old ball,

He's been absolute trash sorry.

I just don't see why this bloke should be exempt from criticism when there are better all rounders (Webster) than him who are actually in form.

Your entitled to you opinion. I dont happen to agree. Seems CA doesnt either. Green has much more promise, upside and a greater ceiling than Webster, who is not in form in shield, only middling last time in the Baggy in the Windies.

Tbf the selectors are a boys club and Green is part of said boys club.
