Ditto WTF. Wokism rearing its ugly head.

The NYE fireworks has been canned too. Or are both Jewish community appeasement at Australians expense.
There are multiple threats for antisemitic terror attacks on NYE worldwide. Also the main Sydney NYE fireworks were not canned, but there will be a memorial for the Jewish community during the event.

I don't see the AB Medal awards canned for that reason
but if there is a security threat, it seems cruel to blame that on Jews?

Webster still can't get a game, 4 quicks + Green.

Seems like the wicket favours pace, ingliss a logical omission.

Webster still a good chance for Sydney?

I think Webster should be a shout for the New Year's Test in Sydney but the selectors might think otherwise given his middling performance during the series against the West Indies in the Caribbean and depending on how the conditions pan out.

No Place for Webster in the 12.

No place for 24 yo spinner Murphy. Spinners can change the rhythm of the game.

I hope Richardson only in his 20s, makes the cut, but Webster provides cover to minimise his workload.

Plenty of place for 39 yo Usman. I'd play the younger Green instead of Usman.

I'm livid!

This selection panel could really come unstuck with a few injuries during the game. Having won The Ashes, there is still little planning for the future by blooding younger players.

Australia will go into the Boxing Day Test without a spinner after skipper Steve Smith opted for an all pace attack on a grassy MCG track to tackle a demoralized England.

Australia XII for fourth Test: Travis Head, Jake Weatherald, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith (c), Usman Khawaja, Alex Carey (wk), Cameron Green, Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland, Brendan Doggett, Michael Neser, Jhye Richardson.

I am cutting Doggett who has been found wanting at Test level. Be tuff again without the class pair of Cummins and Hazlewood, but born again Richardson is back and Barrell has a good record on his home decks.

Had we not retained the Ashes they'd be facing the sack. When we lost our greats they managed to pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat, which is a testament to the depth of Aussie cricket. But most of those guys are now veterans and ready for the retirement home, still I dont see any blooding of youngsters until perhaps the mid yr Bangladesh series, perfect time. But will they finally show some faith in our next gens.

Travis Head bowled by Gus Atkinson for 12 off 22 deliveries, with two fours. Australia now 1/27 early on in the Boxing Day Test.
