It is a real indicator of our playing focus, and in my opinion Herrington's influence, that we conceded only 3 goals in 8 matches - choosing to ignore our 2 stupid penalties in the 9th.

Meaningless stats: It is unusual to have no teams who have scored an average of 2 goals a game or have conceded 2 goals a game.

Crazy that Jets are closest to both averages and have both the highest GF and GA. Beat Macarthur 4-3 and you will own both titles with a perfect 2 goal average.

Is it too early in the season to be thinking "if SFC beat Auckland and we beat Mariners we close on the top spot"?
 
If teams don't have a positive GD, there's little chance of them being in the finals, so even at this early stage you can see that positions 6,7 and 8 have a pretty good chance of being in the finals, whereas 9,10,11 and 12 will need to have a big turn around in form to negate the minus GD. It has happened but not very often.
 
Does anyone else want to see Brattan cop one in the cods from point blank range, it would make my day:giggle:

Great game of football and I don’t follow either team. Hope the other games can live up to this one. Feel for the jets though they really should have gotten something out of the game.

I've seen a lot of stands for kids and families outside A League games. Everyone is different so some people just want to be in and out and others make a whole day of it.

Interactivity and community engagement is important. Any corny entertainment in the ground pre game goes over people's heads.

Bulls v Jets was a great game for neutrals to watch.Jets in a way hard done by but they are mistake prone and Delianov particularly is a liability.I like Sawyer for the Bulls and though Brattan is a snarky bitch I can't dismiss his football nous and skills.
Eli Adams's free kick was a thing of beauty.
