I just find their knowledge of NPL to be really shallow and missing a great deal of insight and the nuance of the NPL competition. Not my cup of tea but they must appeal to a demographic that watches them.

It’s great to see that the kick offs times are being improved. Thursday and Friday night kick offs will be great during the warmer months. Glad to see the back of Saturday and Sunday 1pm kick offs times. Hopefully a few of the Saturday fixtures can be played at 7.30pm. Two matches live on SBS...

You are right. Yes the Lakeside pitch has been ordinary at time, but its far from the worst. We have played on some really awful surfaces this year.

That makes perfect sense to us down here. Appreciate the context @Glenardo ! For many of us, travelling to Edensor Park would be the pick of the away matches. If we played Sydney Croatia on a Friday night or over the weekend, you would see at least 150 South fans travel easily.

Hopefully our home matches are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. That should help maximise crowd attendance, and help the club put on a show for people to stay back and spend some money behind the bar.

That's a tough group. Sydney Croatia and Sutherland Shark will be very hard opponents. We would need to win both matches against Canberra Croatia, win all home matches and try and avoid losing away. Group B is also very difficult. Group C and Group D are not as difficult.

@Beretta - if its a Hellas vs Sydney Croatia opening night fixture, do you think you could see 300 coming down from Sydney for that fixture? There would be a few Melbourne Croatia fans in attendance as well.

These are the matches that Retre is required. It will be 9 days between the Australia Cup quarter final and the NPL Victoria Elimination Final. He should be able to play out around 80 minutes on Sunday. Problem is if we make the NPL Victoria Grand Final. Retre will not be able to play 3...

We have lost twice to Heidelberg this year given we have largely fielded a U20/23 team. Time to actually play our full strength side against them and progress to the Semi Final against either Hume City or Oakleigh.
