without downplaying how 'big' a club Newcastle were at the time, I think the implications for Spurs would be a lot bigger given the ever widening gap between EPL and the Championship and the investment they currently have in their stadium and squad. The video posted a few posts back explains it...

Not really. The main point remains that there aren't enough clubs that meet the criteria for a proper league. At least not yet anyway. The question now is will this experience inspire some clubs to make the criteria. Or have they actually enjoyed this experience as it is and feel that winning...

As happens people fell out with each other and I guess some financial support disappeared.
