Okay those are the rules I had in my head, so good to know I didn't just make it up. I think the old rules are better, the new ones rather unfair.
Lower ranked countries are going to miss out on players that are hoping for a cap with their higher ranked nationality, with no hope of them coming...
I know this is old (I'm just exploring threads rn) but if you want another for your list, Aideen Keane (capped for the Young Matildas and the Under-23s) is a dual Irish & Australian citizen.

Okay I haven't watched men's football in years but I woke up early so joined in at 60 minutes, and while I'm enjoying this aggressive play style (I like pushing) over the possession-based play of the Tillie's, it sure does result in a lot of "pinball" lol
On the other hand though, a lot of the ALW players need somewhere to go during the off season. If they can't get a good overseas contract or just don't want to go overseas, they need something local to keep up.
I don't know details or anything (is there a cap on ALW players per team?), but I do...
Yeah it would have been nice!
Thanks, yeah I'm non weight-bearing for 6 weeks so I doubt I'll be playing again this season even if we make it to the finals, and my futsal season just started too. I'll have to just watch more football while I can't play lol
Do we know if Sam will still play or is this just old info?
I really wanted to go, but unfortunately I doubt I will be able to make it, between it being a weekday with my broken ankle using up my leave & making travel more difficult.
