The problem with having this conversation with you is that you are just looking for an argument. There is no nuance in your posts. This is your entertainment. I have read through this entire thread and the common theme is your inability to consider anyone else’s ideas or input.

I make pretty tame comments and you run with it as if there is now someone else to give you attention; another person to direct your anger and abuse towards.

Society has just got this stupid point scoring going on with these events now.

Can a muslim be a hero? Of course!
Can people do evil misrepresenting their faith? Of course!
Are there issues in our communities of people plotting evil acts? Of course!
Do they have sympathisers within their community? Of course.

The best way to eradicate these things is to have better communities with zero tolerance for such ideas. Unfortunately the good members of society rightly distance themselves from the bad eggs to begin with making it tough to be aware of what's going on. At the same time there are many instances of oddballs attending community events and the person just being brushed off as such. Unfortunately perpetrators are often these types. Impressionable loners.

Social media is the bigger space for indoctrination over face to face now I'd say.

I didn't realise asking for proof of a claim is 'looking for an argument'.

Far from it. I asking you for to provide evidence for your claim. A claim YOU made.

Not sure if you realise this but this is how adults debate issues. Person A claims X, Person B says, fine, prove it or withdraw it.

In case you're struggling you're Person A.

I mean if you really wanted to put me in my place, prove me wrong and shut me up you'd post your proof.

To Zim, I understand your POV my friend and I support your comments.
As we genuine people know world over if only it wasn't for that small % who tarnish it for the many good people, tall short overweight slim black white yellow red it no matter there is alot more of the good no matter the nationality and religion - trouble is the good are the silent majority.
I suspect this disgusting gutless act will finally force our Gov to DO something and I mean alot instead of sitting on their fat seats ! sorry unlike many here I do not rate Albo and his followers, not that either side is any better but our beloved country has become soft for some years its time we tighten the screws on the nut jobs instead of allowing them hide behind protests, marchs etc - it has too many holes for these nutters to be camo.
I have just returned from another 2wk biz trip from Riyadh and Dubai.
My associates, no friends from SA are some of the nicest people I know despite the difference of skin colour and religion.
In fact the many I have come to meet and know are far better than many fellow Aussies.
Their respect and care of others is immense, I find it liberating when I see and hear their day to day life - I don't see my fellow aussie friends be as charitable and caring as some of the muslims I have come to know.
No typical business person i know is invited to their own personal place of residence for a function I have just been honoured with - I'm talking Riyadh, not Dubai the Vegas on the ME.
I've known this business owner for years not johnny come lately.
I see what he does, how he treats his business team, they luv him - he treats some like a son as he quotes, how our left over dinner food is packed and passed onto struggling people on the streets as we're walking back to the car - his family donate annual funds to 6 odd low income fams.
There is more but you get the drift.
My visits to other general customers of his I feel special how they treat you with such respect and appreciate meeting a westerner of so called importance the Industry we're involved.
I admire this so much - his/your faith is amazing imo credit to you man.
We got to harden up our laws, no therapy for these types, as you know over there the law is no shit show like ours.
Quite ruthless, I can stomach that.

I have an issue with this if you are referring to the pro-Palestinian marches. They are in support of the Palestinian people, state and against the Israeli occupation. It is not a march against the Jewish people. I know people like to conveniently link the two, which suits Zionist propaganda, but Israel/Zionism and Judaism are two different things.

I'm not sure if you are conflating things here, but i think there are two points.
1) What you experienced in Saudi is not uncommon. It's one of our core pillars. To be charitable. If we do not follow that, we are essentially not muslim.
2) We need to stop saying that the marches for Palestine are marches against Judaism. They are not. Netanyahu would love you to believe they are and he will sow that seed. He does not care about you, me, sutho, beretta, or anyone else. I fear that ever since his brother died in Entebbe, he has held a strong hatred and need for revenge. Jewish people march in the rallies for Palestine too.

I agree that our governments need to be stronger. In the Palestine rallies and the rallies against Migration, there are some really bad elements. We've seen it first hand. However, those elements do not represent either of those rallies. They are self-serving individuals using a cause to further their own agenda. Netanyahu is doing the same thing. America is leading the way in divisiveness, and if we are not careful, that rhetoric will soon overtake us too. We need to not allow it to do so. Sussan Ley was on tele this morning trying to score political points. Same with Frydenberg. They were weaponising what happened at Bondi, and all it will do is create more animosity, hatred and anger, leading to more incidents. On this forum too, we have people spouting the same talking points, refusing to acknowledge facts and evidence. It's a very scary time.

Now this is the misunderstanding, I'm all for Palestine being free importantly treated with respect and decency and live civilly - I have no respect for Netanyahu he's a snake tirant you name it - my point is any protest/march for Palestine is fuelling the fire for these F nuts - therefore don't do them, it giving these F kers the opportunity to main/kill innocent people - thats my outlook and covers the below a bit as well.

Zim, hate to tell you we have been following the USA for sometime I'm afraid, I'm totally against that for decades, I've watched it occuring for 2/3decades bit by bit.
Correct - our Govs are weaker and weaker - put aside left or right f that, just get a balance instead of too far either side.
