Guys! Another terrific podcast!!
Why on Earth did he leave FA? Sounds like he's put in a lot of work in the last three or so years, building relationships and understanding structures etc., and now we're losing that or the next person almost has to start again?
He's a weathervane suckhole.Too bad he’s a company-man of the FFA/APL’s status quo
To put it still-too-generously.He's a weathervane suckhole.
You might want to email Vitesse, Roda, Camburr and the others and let them know they are now considered semi-pro... Im sure they will be as surprised as I am.Really enjoyed the Nathan Godfrey podcast.
I learned a lot.
I think he really cares about football and is pretty pleased the Champ is off the ground. However, I don’t like him suggesting that the Champ needs to be established before promo/releg. The promo/releg adds extra incentive.
I found it interesting that FA wants the new Champ clubs to become more professional on every way.
I was also interested to learn Japan has 3 pro leagues. Netherlands only has one. Eerste is semi-pro.
Eerste Divisie is a fully pro league.Really enjoyed the Nathan Godfrey podcast.

Im pretty certain even the Jong teams of AZ, Ajax and PSV are fully professional?Eerste Divisie is a fully pro league.
But maybe Tony Popovic thinks it's semi-pro also, and that's the reason he is not selecting Nisbet.
My research suggests that the whole league is fully pro, including the Jong teams. The level below is semi-pro.Im pretty certain even the Jong teams of AZ, Ajax and PSV are fully professional?

I read a recent overview of the Eredivisie and Eerste. It claimed the Eerste was semi- pro. I was surprised to say the least. You might want to email Vitesse, Roda, Camburr and the others and let them know they are now considered semi-pro... Im sure they will be as surprised as I am.
I forgot to say you asked a lot of very good questions! Thanks! Don't forget there is a qand a with nathan open till friday
Don’t accept everything that Google’s AI Overview tells you as gospel.I read a recent overview of the Eredivisie and Eerste. It claimed the Eerste was semi- pro. I was surprised to say the least.
This wasn't a google AI overview.Don’t accept everything that Google’s AI Overview tells you as gospel.
It is fully pro. This wasn't a google AI overview.
I thought it had a name to an article I read some time ago and it had heaps of photos. Offline mates are saying that AI on Google searches can be inaccurate a fair bit too.
I'd love the Eerste to be fully pro. It becomes a better league for our players to play in.
Do you have a source? It is fully pro.
Thanks, Happy Guus.

It makes for interesting reading. Croatia has a semi-pro Div 2.
I was looking at the Croatian pyramid the other day and how they go about it with a small population. Interesting to me was they only have 10 clubs in the top division, 12 in div 2, and 16 in div 3. Five regions below that lead into div 3. It does lead to the cream playing each other more at a higher standard, rather than having a larger league and filling the season with smacking minnows at the bottom.
