I actually feel sorry for Diles here, he didn't sign these muppets on long contracts. I wonder how much cap space he had to work with. We've brought in a few goodins, but still fielding too many spuds.
 
Aloisi's free. But he's enjoying the media circuit, and I wouldn't want us soiling a national treasure hahaha
 
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Same story. Good possession early on. Nice triangles. But inability to create and take chances. Then when we go behind, and he needs to change things, we just do the same old subs at the same times. There is no plan b.
 
I have to say that Davidson was the biggest culprit. He just needs to be dropped altogether. Reec & Vergos can go as well. MVC may as well bring in a 16 year old since the aforementioned three will do nothing to improve the team. Replace Diles? Who could possibly improve Davidson, Vergos or Reec? Aside from a deity.

Currently Diles is better, but it's a downward trajectory. Brebner win% 19.23 / Diles win% 37.04
I reckon the problem was that we made it to the GF last season, and although we were unsuccessful, it was only a 1-0 loss. It would have been harsh not to give Diles the opportunity to build from there. I reckon if the WU issues had happened earlier, then we would have definitely signed Aloisi.

I'm all for him coaching us someday, but I'm more intrigued by the prospect of FBK getting the gig first. He has the ⚽ing brains(that Diles boasts of having, but precious little evidence to back up his talk) that are sorely needed@ the club ATM.
 
It was pretty insipid on Victory's part even in the first half when Sydney looked to still be finding their feet in the match. Sydney looked hungrier in the 2nd Half and MV had no answers.
