Nah you'll be OK, Football VIC will blink I reckon, maybe 3 points at best...Man we've missed Emile so much. Makes such a difference to our midfield.
Haha yeah just that looming points loss over the shoulder

Without doing the tin foil hat thing I reckon the FA would be secretly pleased if that were the case.As i have mentioned before, people with families and kids have stayed away.
Who wants to go when there is 20+ Riot Cops, walking around intimidating people.
The club really needs to reassess if they want to be part of this competition next season, I rather not be in it, if we need to fork out $30k a game for security and police to be present. Running at a loss, not worth it in my opinion.
On TV they were invisible unless it was a close-up.In person they actually looked pretty crisp... And the numbers pretty easy to ready from the other side of the pitch.
Apparently not true, just no plans beyond season 2 set. FA might also partially fund h and aApparently from season 3 onwards, FA will stop covering travel expenses, this will put a massive burden on clubs.
Just that they happen at all i guessHmm I wonder how they expect to measure the value of transfers without a domestic transfer system in place??
Talking about averages. Wu didnt get promoted so it would be differentBased on what exactly? WU had sub 1k crowds a couple of times didnt they?
That's a relief, because it didn't make any sense to abandon funding. It's why you pay the licence in the first place, the money pools towards FA admin and travel expenses. You can't leave it up to every single club to organise their own flights and accommodation and transfers for a potentially changing schedule. That's what FA admin is for.Apparently not true, just no plans beyond season 2 set. FA might also partially fund h and a
Apparently club announce one attend but the "official attendances" is the number of tickets sold plus 15 percentI can only speak for myself but I have never been "recorded" at our 3 home matches... just nod to the dude at the entry of the social club and walk straight in.
The hell you say! Never was any AL frnachise that low they all above 5k ALWAYS just ask them!Based on what exactly? WU had sub 1k crowds a couple of times didnt they?

I’m still hoping this can be rectified, would be a massive loss to the league. Knights are one thing, they’re in shambles even without the championship, but to lose Sydney united too..we shall see what happensQuite possibly, but there is no guarantee this will go past two seasons.
If that's the case to have it without us, so be it.
Watching old on the ball episodes, there was a centrist position between the view that clubs formed by migrant communities should remove all references to their ethnic heritage and the view they should be left alone - the view that celebration of ethnicity was good but nationalism was badAlways has been a strained relationship between the federation and the Croatian clubs. Am I right in saying that not seeing eye to eye with the administrators was one of the main reasons Sydney and Melbourne Croatia weren’t in the nsl at it’s foundation. Re the use of the name Croatia. And then how many times did soccer Australia threaten to throw them out of the league in the 90s and 00s
I can definitely see someone celebrating Greek history both in oz and abroad, greek food, greek language and still think the greek anthem at a game is weird, pretty much all Croatian clubs seem to be nationalistic I've heard, so I can imagine people at the fa being uncomfortable with thatYea probably also reflective of the cultural attitudes at the time. The official line in the post Ww2 era was that migrants were welcome but they were to be “new Australians” and should assimilate as quickly as possible. That’s not how it is now
Just fwiw Greek and Italian food weren’t cool or celebrated in the 60s 70s or 80s in this countryI can definitely see someone celebrating Greek history both in oz and abroad, greek food, greek language and still think the greek anthem at a game is weird, pretty much all Croatian clubs seem to be nationalistic I've heard, so I can imagine people at the fa being uncomfortable with that
Off the top of my head Pretty sure Melb and Sydney Croatia refused to compromise on this, I’m sure partly due to the factors i just noted which makes them somewhat uniquePretty sure originally when the nsl started there was a no ethnic name policy which was later relaxed. Hence the name changes from “pan Hellenic” to “Sydney Olympic” and “Adelaide juventus” to “Adelaide city” which ended up sticking. “South Melbourne Hellas” were branded “south Melbourne” only to later revert back
It does feel like the 2 powerhouse croatian clubs in sydney croatia and melbourne croatia are going through a rough patch. Is it just a rough patch or has there been a steady decline?Off the top of my head Pretty sure Melb and Sydney Croatia refused to compromise on this I’m sure partly due to the factors i just noted that makes them somewhat unique
From the outside, but as someone who follows the sport at this level closely, Melb knights have been in decline for a while imo, they’ve barely made finals since the end of the nsl. It’s been a long time since they were genuinely strong on field. Sydney united on the other hand have consistently been one of the stronger clubs in Sydney right up until recently, so hopefully more of a rough patch for themIt does feel like the 2 powerhouse croatian clubs in sydney croatia and melbourne croatia are going through a rough patch.
