World news and politics.

Yeah OK. The video has obviously been cut and I'm sure the lethal injection comment was in regards to the murderer.

Institutions didn't necessarily help people in last decades but just having them amongst the population is the worst idea. Too many incidents now and places turn into zombie town.

This is the issue, there's always victim blaming on both sides - so now appears to be a moment for 'what's good for the goose is good for the gander' or whatever the saying is.

Correct - my understanding is that he compared it to road accidents (eg, we have so many road accidents, but we accept that as a necessary 'cost' because of the benefit that vehicle/road usage brings to us).

Which.. is still wrong and stupid, but very much not an 'who cares about school shootings'

Very true. Which leads me to...

In the context of that discussion, why is this relevant?

Because saying they are mentally ill means it's easy to dehumanise people trying to go about their lives literally harming no one.

That is not a good result.

You have to wonder who is more mentally ill. The bloke that puts on a dress or the nut job completely obsessed by someone he has never, or we unlikely ever meet and has literally no effect on their life.

It's extremely relevant. This type of unchallenged hate speech gets people bashed and, at worst, murdered.

"I've been forced to apologise by the network as it highlights our hypocrisy.

However, the point remains. I would not piss on them and they should all be killed."

Statement ends.

Whatever he said or didn't say nothing justifies murder.

Yeah you say that but there's often an argument that had Hitler been assassinated in the early 30s sixty million people might not have had to die.

Given the choice to take Hitler out given you know what you know now it's a little bit of a murkier proposition.

Exactly. People are sacked for saying they don't have sympathy for Kirk and this bloke still has a job. Go figure.

And so much for 'selective editing' as was claimed.

Geez went to Godwin's Law a bit quick there.

Saw a comment along these lines

"The democrats should bring a gun reform legislation bill and name it in honour of Charlie Kirk, and see all the Republicans vote it down"

No. I don't even watch CNN or get my news from there. Look at you jump to conclusions with pre-prepared right retorts.

It has much more to do with them having a history of reporting and providing false information, whilst also engaging in hateful and divisive rhetoric

Again, having a romantic relationship with a trans person, does not make them trans.
yeah, and i guess its only gay if you receive it, and not give it.

keep telling yourself that...

So which side of politics are those guys that like to dress like fury animals, or who make love to their vacuum cleaner?

Obviously leftists infected with the woke mind virus but interestingly when caught quite a few of the old pervs and cross-dressers tend to be on the right. Particularly crusty old Tories in the UK.

White - Yes.
Christian - Long Stretch. That's like saying I'm Muslim but get drunk and eat pork.
Not trans. - Try Again. He was fucking a bloke who wants to be a woman lol. Mentally Ill.

So not trans. Thanks for playing.

Grew up in a deeply religious family in a deeply religious state so yeah, there's that.

Oh yeah almost forgot. He was radicalised at a woke lunatic liberal college. What's that? Oh, only attended one semester and dropped out.

Right. As you were.

What a world....

At the end of the day, if some bloke wants to wear a dress or if 2 people want to wear a rabbit and cat costume and fuck and it's between consenting adults who give a shit?

Back in the day you'd go, what a weirdo and move on.

Now blokes like Beretta want them sanctioned and put in an asylum.

What a tolerant lad.

It was though, not relevant to @melbcityguy 's post that you were replying to:

I think we need to come together and find what we've got in common rather then what makes us different.

It's out of control all this political discourse. You can be a good person if you're right or left
It's this kind of whataboutism that causes this un-needed division and has led to some people on both ends of the extremes here doing the absolute even worse thing.

This whataboutism exists on both sides, let's be honest here, which I would put that kind of thing in the same boat as - since we are using him as the central discussion point - Charlie Kirk constantly responding to/diverting discussions to "What is a woman?"

People seem to be hunting for outrage at any opportunity these days - and I'll be honest, I've probably fallen into that trap at points too - politics or football.

It's sad that people fail comprehension so easily.

Trans is not a sexual preference.
I have no idea why - it might be the Monday talking - but I read that as "Trans is an experience" and had Jimi Hendrix Experience vibes
