Big Ange thread

Look at these Spurs acquisitions now. Thanks Levy.

Bergvall, Odobert, Gray & Solanke were Ange's last summer transfers.

Compare that to Kudus, Xavi Simmons, Palinha & Kolo Muani (loan).

It's night and day.

That doesn't even cover Ange's first window where he lost Kane a week out from the start of the season and received Brennan Johnson as a replacement.

One of the biggest surprises of the summer transfer window might be the fact that Tottenham have forked out nearly £200m, despite fans spending most of the window complaining about their lack of activity.

Of course, Tottenham made the Mathys Tel move permanent and made an excellent addition in Mohammed Kudus but there was precious little to shout about. The loan signing of Joao Palhinha is excellent, but the belated signing of Xavi Simons could be a real game-changer.

Randal Kolo Muani on loan also provides a risk-free option in attack, and the Frenchman could be very useful in a Thomas Frank team.

For their involvement in the UEFA Champions League, Spurs's squad still looks to be a tad lacking in numbers, but quality had now been added.

TBH need to forget comparing Ange to Frank tenures.
Nothing ever follows the same vein season in season out.
Just look at the buying diff Klopp to Slot.
Its night and day for eg.

Ange had his trophy. No matter what anyone says, he delivered silverware. At some point, there was not point pushing in the league. Finishing 15th or 17th was not going to make a difference. Ange adjusted to win the cup. Delivered silverware. Notched up a nice pay day.

I'd take him at United. He'd get better signings than what he got. I know his work, and it's always been successful since the Roar.

Turkey can be big but it fool off oddities. Leverkusen itself is a blot on the map but Cologne and Düsseldorf or the countryside is a decent spot. I so hope it happens.

and didn't the barba rosa do a outstanding job with them.
That unbeaten run the supporters must have been going I can't believe this !

As for Ange - look Bundas would be great choice far more than Turkey (though he'd be a hoot in that melting pot) BUT you know what - we all know soon enough 2/3 EPL Clubs will put the sword through one of their managers - he sits tight wouldn't be surprised an offer BUT he sure isn't the avoid drop type of fix it man haha but what IF he did ?
He'd be stepping up a new level but but but.......

Hannover beat Hamburg in a practice game. Honestly HSV have been utter garbage this season. 2 games, right? Yet so far off it without a bloody plan. Needed ET in the cup against a minnow. Their away draw to Gladbach was sturdy enough but the home game to St Pauli was an eyesore.

I think Ange could or should end up there. They're known for knee jerk manager sackings.

I'm sure many are rejoicing he's gone !
His business model for Spurs has reaped rewards with the new nice Satd and training facility but on the pitch been so up and down.
One comment I read was :
"Our game is about glory, Levy's game is about greed", while another was "24 years, 16 managers, 1 trophy - time for change".
Pretty much sums it up and I'm sure his pockets are very well lined.

Be interesting what their new chair brings to their future.
