The blue and white heart is the colour of his old club.

The good news however is he grew up all his life in sydney it seems, so unless he decides to do a Volpato, who knows what will happen.

Oh, hadn’t thought of that! Volpato seems to have meant it though, he’s still holding hopes of playing for the Azzurri. I wish people would stop hoping he’ll change his mind, forget about him.

I believe they say it is incompatible with the salary cap. They also allegedly blocked an nst 20 years ago, blocked cuts to the salary cap (understandable) and blocked a fair play system, they allegedly limit time spent in schools by a league players

not sure. Each claim comes from a good source though but don't know how much is confirmed officially
 
No wonder clubs going broke costs a fortune to run an academy FNSW charging 30k a year to be in their monthly comp then they cant even sell the youngster in the a-league to make the financial model somewhat sustainable... fucking insane.

The whole point of the academy is to sell them on and fund the academy moving forward, then you can offer scholarships to kids like Kuol/Irankunda and we might not lose them to AFL/NRL.

I very much doubt he will ever play for Italy. He would already be starting for a significant club if that was the case. Anyway, as far as I am concerned, he has ruled himself out for Australia. I get the dream big idea, but someone should have advised this young player to be more realistic.

Presumably that someone was Totti. As it is, Volpato could have had a solid international career with Australia but now will likely have nothing. It is hard to imagine an Australian national team coach being inclined to select him after the way he has behaved.

Brisbane have signed 30 year old English striker Chris Long. He scored 6 goals in 25 League Two games last season and didn't appear to start many of those games either.

Seems very much like a budget signing.
