Stensness solves one issue. He can replace Degenek or Geria and also pay in midfield meaning we can leave out a mid. Geria has that bit more versatility. Elder has to be in as he can also play LCB but should be LWB.

I was a bit busy but damn that’s a good win given the size of Dinamo and the quality of the HNL! It’s been a great year for Norwegian men’s football, with Bodø going deep in the last UCL, the Eliteserien getting stronger and Norway making it to the knockouts of the World Cup. Wonder how good Viking will go!

Ive been saying this for a few yrs now, but whenever i do those ELO updates the Norweigan league ranks surprisingly high.

If you look at how their clubs perform in europe theyve been good the past few yrs. And now no surprise the national team has followed suit. Stensness playing at their 2nd or 3rd best club week in week out needs to reevaluated. Good age also at 27. Perfect as the sweeper, ie Souttars backup, in the middle of the back 3. Needs to be bumped up over Geria and Degenek.

Want to see him, Walker, Tilio, Younis, Overy, Bennie, Nicholl-Jazuli , G Okon, Kuol and Arena all given opportunities over next 12 mths.

The opportunities over the next six months are limited to the two Brazil friendlies and then the Asian Cup in January.

I would hope we can organise more games than that. There is still space in the Sept/Oct window for a couple more games and another 2 match window in November.

Players develop and improve. I think he's worth bringing in to camp to look at given his form. He's one of only 4 depth CBs currently overseas and starting with Girdwood-Reich, Geria and Degenek. Rowles, Trewin, Matthews, Leonard, Bonetig, Jones all battling with injuries or to earn a start.

Yengi not surprising he's going well in Japan. Should have left Scotland and moved there earlier but he's still pretty young and he might have missed Zelvia if went earlier so probably worked out for the best. M Zelvia have risen like a phoenix. First appearance ever in top tier in 2024 and already Emperors Cup trophy and runners-up in ACL Elite.
