On a winter's night at a suburban ground in St Albans, in Melbourne's west, a group of footy club presidents and officials is gathering to talk about the brain health of their players.

Addressing them is the FIFTHQTR Foundation, an independent group led by former Carlton star Ken Hunter, dedicated to the welfare of former players at both the community and elite level.

The woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, told the Bendigo Magistrates' Court in May she was "fearful" for her life during the incident in May 2025 at Cohuna

Liked watching Nicky play back in the day, and applauded his public anti-racism stances; true pity that it seems he wasn't entirely without character-flaws.

The lawyer for two of the women involved in the Sydney Swans sexual assault scandal has labelled what allegedly happened to his clients in a Melbourne CBD hotel room the most “disgusting and degrading” thing he has heard in his nearly three decades on the job.

Carbone Lawyers personal injury head John Karantzis on Friday claimed there were a lot more than five men in the Pullman East Melbourne hotel room and the mix included “leaders” of the Swans club.

“With what has been alleged, these women were subject to the most disgusting actions and behaviour I have ever heard about in my 28 years as a lawyer,” Mr Karantzis told 3AW’s Tom Elliott.

I think this whole episode has to be one of the most confronting and serious scandals I've ever come across in sport....
 
The Swans have always gone on with their virtue signalling and values and now the absolute irony is their own players and coaches are involved in an act that goes way beyond some social justice campaign posts.
