That aged well!Bayswater v Sydney will be the tightest game for a neutral I feel.
hahahaha I know. I figured mid table NSW NPL squad away from home against a stubborn defence 3rd on the table would have been more even. That aged well!
It was hardly the NPL youth team. Nine first team players started. I think seven played in the grand final.hahahaha I know. I figured mid table NSW NPL squad away from home against a stubborn defence 3rd on the table would have been more even.
Yeah mate, but squad lists hadnt come out when I made the statement and did my tips.. It wasnt an analysed prediction, just an off the cuff post.It was hardly the NPL youth team. Nine first team players started. I think seven played in the grand final.
Sounds good to me!The A-league is becoming a glorified youth league.

12 players gone. one young visa player signed - the rest academy signings. It might be different in 3 months but right now they would have to be clear favourites. Newcastle at least had done most of their signing.Hopefully you guys win.
Nah, Both Melbourne teams got knocked out first round last year. Although was it really a cupset when City's average age was like 17.6 that nightIs this the first time we've has 2+ cupsets in a matchday?
I dunno maybe the Australian cup needs a rethink. If a league clubs are preseason what's the point? If they aren't 100% then the games will lack creditability then you do ask why are you watching it.
It also kicks off earlier now too if I’m not mistaken. Used to be closer to the start of the a league. No doubt the gap in quality has closed though. Will be interesting to see what happens if the championship becomes a fully fledged home and away comp and whether it aligns with the a league in summer or npl in winter. Would championship clubs enter at the national rounds if it went to a home and away league etc etcit wasnt a problem when the Australia cup started around 2014? There wasnt as many "cupsets" as there is now.
thats because the quality of the A-league isnt as what it once was, more youthful teams, no marquees etc and the NPL has managed to close that gap.
It's professional footballers vs semi professional footballers, the cupsets should be rare or a one off.
Just as an FYI to South fans, this Bonada "loan" is structured as such as to ensure that Bonada's visa situation is passed on to Preston and as safety net that om case this doesn't go through he will probably return to South. Unlikely though IMO, I see Bonada as being a perm transfer at the end of the yearI should say sorry mate, "our" Bonada put two nails in your coffin last night.
That makes sense and is what I suspected at the time... but also NOT the only reason.Just as an FYI to South fans, this Bonada "loan" is structured as such as to ensure that Bonada's visa situation is passed on to Preston and as safety net that om case this doesn't go through he will probably return to South. What sort of a crowd would you be expecting tonight, hard to judge imoand another thing, NPL and A-League is in two different seasons, Summer and Winter.
What chance would NPL clubs have if this competition started in lets say Feb or March lol
Get back on the iron mate for more pocket moneyThanks for putting it up, Brenton.
Might have to renew my Psramount prescription, but we have a local game live.
