Official South Melbourne Hellas thread 🔵⚪

Osullivan dovison papadimitriou leech all definitely have shown enough at the club bonada obvs different story all together but the others id defs agree are no loss killick birchmore and both agelatos brothers were all very average. My only question mark is why the club didn't loan the above 4 players especially considering there are youth requirements for the championship including home grown. Case in point this rule was the reason papadimitriou was in the championship squad last year and why we had to axe brennan on the eve of the tournament

Don’t agree at all with this mate… we can voice frustrations out of the 90 minutes but it’s hard for the boys to focus on the football when one of their own is being abused on the field by his own supporters
Thats a fair call @Souk, you are right and I agree. In my defence I only booed the sub decision out of frustration AND, I guess in response to the disrespect shown towards us the week before at the Gully game..

Speaking to some of the players after the match on Sunday they seem to be more frustrated by what happeing within the club than the noised made by the fans...

The players themselves can’t stand Mesa. That comes from former players themselves.

I’ve never heard one of his teammates say a good word about him.

Committee players shouldn’t be getting any minutes at a side with a league ambitions. He wouldn’t make it playing regularly at state 7, that’s how astonishingly bad he is
AND from current players.

He has lost the plot. He is obviously being directed from above to write this trash. Wouldnt surprise me if they are at the early stages of looking to ban supporters.
Why "early stages"? Do it and be done with the whole things, we can all get on with our lives and they can have the empty stadium all to themselves.

I wouldn’t blame them if supporters are rocking up with the intention of booing our own players in all honesty

don’t get me wrong I’m no Mesorouni fan (JR or SR)

But our role as home supporters is to inspire the boys, not foster division

Any wonder our record away from home is better
Nobody was booing for the previous home games mate.... Some of us rocked up to watch u19s play against serious NPL squads and cheered the 4 nil drubbings like they were wins....

They are booing one player, the player that doesnt belong in the squad. Fuck him off and everyone will shut up.

We have to watch this shitcunt play whilst Bonada is already winning games for Preston.
EXACTLY right... Bonada and Dovison (and from all accounts Aguek) sacrificed to serve the ego of a fragile little man...

Juach should have arrived by now. Interesting to see if he gets any training sessions in this week. He'd be lucky to have 1 session this week. His last match for Pacific FC in the Canadian Premier League was June 15. If that's the case, he would be relatively fit and could handle 15-20 minutes. Depending on how the match is unfolding on Friday night, he may be needed to come on for the last 5-10 minutes.

Yes - I am guilty of wishful thinking.

Agree - fans attended matches knowing that U20s/U23s were playing and still supported the team. They were there supporting and getting behind the youth players trying their best.

This is not ideal for the young kid. Perhaps a new environment where he can start more often and begin to enjoy his football would be the best outcome for him.

Except he isnt a young kid. He is like 26. Older than Juach.

You're right that a new environment would be best for him where he can start and actually play whether it were vpl 1 or somewhere else the real issue is his dad and we all know it. He's not going to turn down the chance to play for the club he has supported all his life even if he isn't good enough, but whilst his dad calls the shots he'll still be there.

I blame the people who have allowed this to happen.

Yeah if he’s been playing professional standard in Canada his fitness should be up to scratch
That said he wasn’t starting many games there, came off the bench more often than not
