If it was Iran it would have been our biggest game since Uruguay 2005, the build up with have been huge but Egypt will still be a tough game for us especially with Salah and Marmoush up front.

I recall when we played Egypt in the Olympics in Tokyo and we needed to get a draw but they beat us so they won't be scared of us but we can go through I can see this maybe going into extra time or even penalties because it won't be a free flowing game.

Egypt are undefeated but the typical game 1 Belgium, being vulnerable against NZ and Iran gives me a lot of hope. How much energy have they exerted so far?

We're in excellent shape with only O'Neill being close to being spent. Circati has done a lot of running. Irvine being delayed into the tournament is a real bonus. Bos has a tank and is now picking up.
