World Cup 2026 Australia thread

I gave us a 3:0 loss and then Sweden lose and Ecuador don't win. Austria beating Algeria is pretty important but it's the Egypt and Uruguay groups that could go any bloody direction and I hope we don't need to endure this.

Wonder what Adrian Segečić’s value is like for being a snake and picking Croatia.
 
Ecuador leading Germany now! There's going to be less 3rd places teams on under 3 points than we probably all expected.
 
There's now only 4 groups with 3rd placed team on under 3 points and those groups all have a remaining match day. Some teams on 3 points are going to be going home for sure.

None of the players we grabbed were getting capped for other countries and other than Harry Souttar none were good enough to play for those countries.

It’s the same as Michael Olise. I’ll cheer when he scores for France and he’s a great player but he’s a glory hunter through and through. He’s barely French and isn’t even fluent in French. He should play for England.

Pretty standard really.

I was looking at the current Croatian team. It feels like he has a pretty good chance of breaking into that side if he continues to progress.

As usual, 9 outcomes (I won't go into GD unless it's likely it affects who qualifies - at base level, I've applied 1-0 wins or 0-0 draws):
  • Egypt wins AND New Zealand win = Egypt 1st, NZ 2nd, Iran 3rd (and eliminated)
  • Egypt wins AND BEL/NZ Draw = Egypt 1st, Belgium 2nd, Iran 3rd (and eliminated)
  • Egypt wins AND Belgium win = Egypt 1st, Belgium 2nd, Iran 3rd (and eliminated)
  • EGY/IRN draw AND NZ win = Egypt 1st...
