2026 World Cup Squad

Do we reckon that they're taking photos of the 3 players that won't get into the final squad...?

If everyone included in this is a confirmed inclusion then that means the following are locked in:
  • Irvine
  • Borrello
  • Toure
  • Devlin
  • Souttar

Seems to be the habit

If u are rolled in front of the camera to say how much of a dream playing for the roos are it seems its a kiss of death haha

My thoughts exactly with Devlin. Featuring in all that. I guess they need profile pics for the Mexico game.

Triantis and Segecic got cover issues and then got stuffed around.

I wonder if its coincidence or if its a real pattern

There were 4 young players he debuted straight away - okon matthews herrington and italiano

Any way of checking to see if they missed out on interviews?

I think our media team picks the most interesting stories and new players are that. A very interesting pattern nonetheless.

Best at holding possession, best channel passer and (with Devlin) best ball winner in midfield.

I am completely baffled by his non-selection by Popa.
This season he is an above average player on a mid table team in Eerste division.
He could be underrated, get picked and do really well. But it isn't baffling and it isn't a Popa thing. A selection from this team, in this league would be a surprise.

Kinda wish we made more of a deal with regards to getting picked for your nation to go to a world cup, watching origin last night they really hype it up and talking about state vs state, mate vs mate. We need to do this kind of marketing.

Norway made an incredible video.

Yes a top video.Trump will be shitty he didn't get to announce the US NT as he always wants to be the centre of attention.

I did see Norway's video and I think it was posted here before (unless I'm just having déjà vu). Very cool way to announce their squad! Brazil's was pretty good too (they announced it through a press conference with fans watching and livestreaming it; just hear how they reacted when Carlo Ancelotti announced that Neymar would be part of the squad).

I think Beach, Borrello and it's got to be Geria, Rowles or Degenek.

I'll be livid if we drop Devlin.
Jason Geria out of those. He's not a bad player and I think he could do better but he's currently playing in the J2 League. Ideally our squad should all be playing consistently well at the highest level possible (meaning Max Balard, Dan Bennie, Alex Robertson, Zac Sapsford and Ante Šuto should all have been included in the final squad).

Incoming players (not officially assigned a number in images yet), or those we never saw a number for, or those who now have an incoming player wearing their number previously assigned

  • Nestory Irankunda - will have a new number, but unknown from new images. Very possible it’s 14
  • Hayden Matthews (withdrawn injured)
Looks like a possible switch to #3 for Circati
That switch to #3 now official for Circati

With Robertson omitted and several recent national team defections — developments I believe many fans are deeply unhappy about — Popovic has placed significant pressure on himself. If Australia fail to progress from the group, his position should come under serious scrutiny. Longer term, I fear the team will be weaker as a result of what I see as a series of baffling decisions.
