I know that Lynch is good at getting information but why hasn't the FA or Boro released a statement yet?

The article simply says confirmation. I believe it but there's no quote or source.
 
It's late afternoon in Florida so information has flowed across and someone's said something. I expect the FA to put out their own social post soon as Australia is waking up.
 
All because of spying and it was slowly getting to the sub off stage of the game. McGree probably would've gotten 90 given the occasion.

I'm so upset and mad about this. The injuries happened so many times that we should have just listed McGree as a bonus if he's available.

I think the injury happened even before Ange so we were worried about how we were going to play under Holger. We've got a lot more quality now but once our group came out back then we were already resigned to our fate.

At least McGree got 2022. To think Kewell got around 20min in 2010 before it was all gone.

Boro fans will feel redemption now after some international windows injuring McGree and now the biggest thinh the other direction has been ruined.

It's just a cruel twist of fate. There's really no blame. Mentions that he was doubtful pregame but he seemed absolutely fine.

These two practice games concern me and then if someone like Bos gets carted off after 30min against Turkey then we're definitely cursed.
 
As horribly shit and effed up that it is...no one to blame. McGree had every right to play in one of the biggest games of his career even if he did have a slight injury worry. I'm sure he would have wanted to play regardless and was one of the best players on the park up to the injury.

Whatever happens with injuries from here on out is out of our control and if anything I hope this means Robertson gets a look in for the inside forward role in these friendlies as like a lot of us I'm desperate to get him on the ball pushing forward in the green and gold!!
 
If we're being totally honest though, Velupillay has done more in an Australian shirt than McGree.

McGree has one goal against Vietnam. Assisted Leckie and Behich against Denmark and Japan respectively but the scorer did way more than the pass. Great turn against Japan.

There was that one spin against Uzbekistan at the Asian Cup.

You look at his run of games against minnows and then injury and away for some bigger ones. I'll have to look what he did in his 90min Japan away.

My favourite player but I almost feel like screaming 'thanks for nothing'. Remember the constant disappointment we had with Kewell as kids? Then he walked with a halon over his head against Uruguay in 01 and then in 05 he wlfreated heaven and the earth. Everything in between then was so frustrating that he was never available.
