Iredale should have picked a better league if he wanted to play. It's hard to pick someone from K2. It's a shame because he's good enough to be in the mix.

I agree and while Juric didn't get picked during his Slovenia time, he was probably good enough then as his is now. Iredale has Germany and Denmark runs on the board and is scoring with relative ease in K2 which doesn't suggest regression.

What I like about world cups is you'll see someone from some tier 3 League get an assist or goal and all you need is a good moment.
 
I see Jordan Lyden is still ay in the English 7-8 tier Southern League for Bromsgrove. There's a guy who goes to lower tier games to see those once at EPL clubs. You'd be surprised how many were on the books but fate had other ideas.
 
Arnie’s Iraq makes it into the World Cup with a 2-1 win over Bolivia, for the first time in 40 years.

I’m off to have a shower, I feel dirty having cheered for Iraq.

Edit: saw spider on the pitch too, didn’t know he was their goalkeeping coach.
