What's Senegal doing that Australia isn't? Similar population yet they have so many players in big 5 leagues, and many of them struggling for national team minutes.

Senegal's football pyramid features professional top tiers, Ligue 1 (first division) and Ligue 2 (second division), managed by the LSFP (Ligue Sénégalaise de Football Professionnel) under the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), with amateur feeder leagues like Nationale 1 and Nationale 2 forming the base, allowing top amateur teams to challenge for promotion to Ligue 2, all alongside major cup competitions like the FA Cup and League Cup.

Also don't have other sports taking people away. Good on them I like Senegal salif diao would be proud 👍
 
Believe it o not wrestling is no1 sport though football is right up there as well.

Fast twitch muscle fibres and skills learned either on clay or in French academies. Did I see more players at this AFCON were born outside of Africa. This isn't African football development rather Benelux.
 


Senegal player had to guard the keeper's towel as the Moroccan ball boys kept taking it away.
 


What is it about Middle Eastern and North African teams being so prone to antics and cheating?

Yeah just silly things like povertyy, hunger disease ..... That "other sports" excuse really gets my goat my guy .... we have more than a million people playing the sport.... thats more than alot of countries.
 
Not decades forever - when you have so much poverty - ongoing corruption people lose the plot.

Though.... the walking off the pitch thing for refereeing decisions needs to be stamped out.

Everyone wins here. Senegal have already celebrated and had a good time. Morocco can now have a party and a good time. How lovely
 
CAF is corrupt. Senegal won the match. Morocco did not lead at any point. They continued to play, lifted the trophy and were declared champions. All of the sudden months later they decide to give it to Morocco. Can Arab countries ever win stuff without cheating?
