$116 million spent on that facility and has the drainage capacity of a State League 5 suburban playing field. Farcical scenes last night.Looking at a longer range forecast i'd be concerned about next Tuesday going ahead with that grounds drainage.
The shit thing is we were better playing tonight and getting rained off on Friday.
Should just pull out of the whole debacle...Worst case scenario has played out. We are now going to have serious issues with managing NPL and OFC fixtures.
That’s 2 postponed matches for us.
You seemed to have changed your tune, RE: This tourney. You were all excited about it last year.Should just pull out of the whole debacle...
Pretty much... its just seems so haphazard and unprofessional... If the Saudis have dumped 30 mill into it as reported I'm not sure were all the money is being spent? They could have forked out a couple of hundred bucks yesterday and gone to Kennards to hire some giant wetvacs to dry the ground out for instance. You seemed to have changed your tune, RE: This tourney. Mate they spent thousands on hiring lights and tv camera gantries to show the match - they had a VAR systems in place, they een had a VIP section with a white picket fence at Olympic village the other day... two folding tables and 4 people sitting behind the goals in a space that could fit 2-3 thousand...The OFC, are not exactly loaded, TBF.
Agree, the league ALWAYS comes first.Mate they spent thousands on hiring lights and tv camera gantries to show the match - they had a VAR systems in place, they een had a VIP section with a white picket fence at Olympic village the other day... two folding tables and 4 people sitting behind the goals in a space that could fit 2-3 thousand...
Im sure it will get better and this is their first crack at hosting something like that.. I appreciate this is a much learning curve for this small federation as it is for the clubs involved, mine included... I just don't want to throw the league season away chasing something that doesn't seem to have much value to anyone...
What the f*** is this shit?!!OFC catch up game 11am tomorrow morning..
OFC catch up game 11am tomorrow morning..
Yes. As it stands three games in three days...What happens to our match against South Island on Friday night? Do we still play that?
