Australian news and politics.

See this is where we tend to have a problem. I have never glossed over your condemnation, but rather spoken to your aggression towards me and people of my faith. I feel you've glossed over a lot of my statements, but I've learnt to deal with that regularly from people. In saying that, I'm not here to attack you or play the blame game. Between you and me, past is past.
OK, AGAIN, Ill try and not gloss over your comments and address them as carefully as I can:

I have NO problem with anyone of any faith, let alone Muslims. I have Muslim friends (yes yes I know the the old trope about people saying they aren't racist because they have one friend, but I actually DO have quite a few muzzie friends.. its a bit hard NOT to growing up in Melbourne). If you take my criticism as aggression toward Muslims specifically then I apologise (Yet again) but that is not my intent. To be perfectly honest I find some of the concepts in the Quran towards others and even towards women, to be a lot fiarer than the Bible and vastly better than the Torah. I DO disgaree with a lot oif the Quran but again thats from a philosophical standpoint and would happily debate it with you as a conversation... Its got NOTHING to do with hate, just a differing of opinion and perception. I think "my way" is better than yours... is that such a hard concept to grasp?

Anyway getting back to my perceived aggression, to make it clear as I can.

I HATE Muslims that use Allah as an excuse to kill Jews or Christians ... thats it, pure and simple, black and white.

In the same breath I would hate Jews that kill Muslims or Christians JUST because their Torah told them so, or I would hate Christians that killed Muslims or Jews just because of their interpretation of the bible...

I would say Americans are to blame for their leaders. They elected them, and still support them. If people can look at what they are doing, and still vehemently defend them, then they are definitely to blame. The other past we tend to struggle with is that it's been said many times that people are not against Jews, but Zionists. So "fuck the jews" isn't really a thing often said or done, but "fuck the zionists", for sure.
To some degree I agree with you... we are ALL responsible for the leadership we allow...Do you then accept that the Gazans voting Hamas to rule them and commit murder on women and children Oct 7th are ALSO therfore to blame? - See what I'm getting at?

As for Fuck the Zionist over Fuck the Jews.... thats a clever little bit of word play and no different than Fuck the Islamist over Fuck the Muslims no?
I mean look at some of the posters on here, purposely ignoring when people say they are against Zionism, not Jews, yet they still conflate it and then try to paint the other poster in a bad light. There is an example on this very page above.

You cant hold everyone accountable for the comments of people who agree on other topics of conversation... I know I sound like an angry old man but your generation is fucked in the head that way... There is no such things as universality of thought, no such thing as ALL Leftards believe XYZ and all Fascists believe ABC....

Stop worrying about what "light" you are perceived in by total strangers on the internet. Unless I am mistaken and you have some sort of official capacity, your opinions expressed here are just that opinions as are everyone else's, fight for what you beleive in, express yourself with repect toward others (or at least as much as you can muster) and play ball...

Point to an anti semitic thing said here?

Point to the list of anti semitic incidents by the local community that warrant a royal commission into said community?
Not saying a Royal Enquiry is warranted to prove people hate Jews... I think its a waste of money too.

If you can honestly tell yourself that you believe that there aren't segments of Australian society that absolutely loath other Australians simply for being ethnically or religious Jewish then I don't really know what to tell you.

(and NO Zimbos Im not ONLY talking about Muslims FFS...)

I have never suggested anything of the sort.

So what are you telling me? We live in a xenophobic country?

Way more hatred towards other groups than the jewish community. That is backed by evidence of hate crimes.

So in summary, I agree. Australia is xenophobic. Just not how is being made out for politcal purposes.

Ps - I find it weird that you cant really show examples of anti-semitism but think its rampant.

Dude....... two arseholes literally shot and killed 15 Australians for no reason other than

BECAUSE THEY WERE JEWS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

what further "evidence" do you want?

Would you like to give me some evidence even remotely equivalent to that for these other groups you feel are being excluded politically?

Capitals don't help you here. That was an isis attack targetting a jewish event/people by the looks of it (or israeli link?). That was an extremist group with islamist ideology.

ISIS also have carried out numerous others. That is not an example of 'local anti-semitism' (one was also born overseas btw). Also, we do not have a clear motive for why it was that event (to my knowledge police didnt release their manifesto, and by this I mean if there is a specific reason to that group organising the event, not dismissing the people there).

For the record, ISIS have also killed a lot more muslims than jews. So, to put it simply - one terrorist attack that was at one section of the community doesn't indicate a pattern.

These guys were terrorist extremist dickheads.

If this was a bunch of aussies with no extremist ideology doing it, than you could say 'it;s aussie anti-semitism'

I don't understand this question. But if you are trying to ask me to provide evidence of hate crime against other groups then I think google is your friend on that one.

BTW I am not minimising the horric events. All I am saying is it doesn't indicate australia is anti-semitic.

The hate crimes against groups you claim are treated worse than the 15 Jews killed at Bondi ? What are they?

Where did I say that? Read my full post.

If you think there has been more hate crimes against the Jewish community in the last 30 years than aboriginals, muslims, gays etc then jesus christ, I cannot help you.

So Isis indoctrination and radicalisation of Australian citizens (I don't care who was or wasn't born overseas, and neither do you or at least for toher topics you don't ) caiusing them to murder 15 Australian Jews is NOT anti-sematism? What is it... just being naughty?

I dont know their motives or manifestos or anything.. the fact they targeted a specifically Jewish event is enough of a clear indicator for me.... if you want to pretend its not thats up to you....

A Royal Commission into Anti-semitism won't stop people like ISIS and their followers attacking civilians who don’t follow their ideologies.

We need a royal commission into the hate spewed by Murdoch.

Fucking up Australia's social cohesion by sewing constant outrage and fear about 'others' just to make money. What a fucked use of 'capitalism'.

"Others" being, but not limited too, muslims, Indians, Africans, 'dole' bludgers, indigenous people, any person 'guilty of 'woke-ism', teachers, and lefty 'do-gooders'.

Sure, point to 15 murders (doesn't even have to be in one hour, it can be over the last 30 years) of an Aboriginal, a Muslim or a gay person that occurred ONLY because they were Aborignal, Muslim or Gay...

I agree that in decades gone past, violence against individuals from these groups was a thing, and Im sure that horrific crimes have happened to all these people but I honestly cant think of one that was as bad as Bondi, can you?

Tell me you don't understand capitalism without saying I don't understand capitalism. :)

Not to be a smart arse but were there royal commissions called into any of the hate spread against those people?

There are 78 unsolved murders against homosexual men from the 80s in Sydney. (All under the nose of the NSW police who gave it scant attention.)

This is not an excercise in proving you wrong it's just that what's so special about Jewish people that warrants a parallel Royal Commission to the one Minns said he'd hold and not any of the others?

In all honesty mono, with all the shit going down in the last 2 years, do you think brown people are having a good time in Australia or even feel safe walking around the streets given the vitriol spewed everywhere about them?

You wouldn't swap places with an Indian bloke at the moment for all the tea in China.

I thought we established that outrage farming is more profitable than serious journalism. Do you think news.com.au is running these stories because they're more or less profitable?

There's a clear profit motive from them and its a stone cold fact that, just like sex, outrage sells.
