Australian transfers 25-26 Winter

Where to next do we think?

  • Former Macarthur Bulls midfielder Jake Hollman has struggled for game time at League Two leaders Walsall, making just six appearances since joining in July.
  • Coach Mat Sadler says the club is exploring overseas loan options, but Hollman’s UK work permit prevents him from moving to another English club.
  • Walsall will look to keep Hollman sharp through training, internal games and the EFL Trophy as they search for a long-term solution to his lack of minutes.

Could this put him in contention for a World Cup squad spot?
I'd say now any depth is good given the chance of injuries. He was called up to the practice camp so he's on the radar. Near impossible even with 3 defender injuries I think as Iredale, Miller and Matthews would start forming centre back cover.

Don't quote me but I think I read MLS starts in March. Somewhat silly for people to know give themselves many weeks off. I think I read the J League will play something to keep players active until June?

Indonesian Super League sides Persebaya Surabaya and Persib Bandung are reportedly interested in signing Adelaide United captain Craig Goodwin during the January transfer window per Indonesian media, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

O'Neill is also an emergency CB. did the job with aplomb at CCM an apparently in the MLS as well
