Summer of Cricket thread

Weathers himself ahould have known if it pitched outside leg.

He has a few technique and judgement things to work on.

The dismal and the lack of a review is mostly down to a judgement by the batsman.

The pitch itself still looks pretty flat to me.

Archer and Stokes will be tired from the batting efforts.

More bowlers are making runs these days, but tney don't always back up well when bowling.

Glen McGrath rarely had that problem 😀

Starc was excellent in the first 2 tests and made some very handy runs.

That Weatherald dismissal was a shocker by the umpire but even worse by Weatherald not to review it.

I like Trav but wonder how he made it to red ball cricket with barely no footwork and a dodgy defense. See how he exposes his stumps almost every ball. Surprised he is not bowled more.

He does a pretty good record for South Australia tbf.

Years ago before Trav played Tests he played some patient big innings holding South Aus innings together against Tas.

South A were Shield easybeats for a few years.

Now I’ll start looking for this when Trav bats.

I still would have given McSweeney who made 226 runs for Aus A, only aged 24, a game instead of 39 yo Usman.
