I gotta ask… why are the men’s knockout games all now but we have to wait till May for the women’s semi and final?

By the way if City don’t win it this year or next year I’m hoping literally anyone (other than Victory cause of course it won’t be Wanderers) else gets the AWCL spot.

IT'S OFFICIAL: Al-Ahli have won their second Champions League title in a row! Heartbreak for Tete Yengi and Machida Zelvia, a club who only a few years ago were playing in the Japanese regional leagues, who miss out on the title by one goal in the final in Jeddah.
 
Al-Ahli Saudi ran out 1-0 winners over debutants Machida Zelvia after extra time in the AFC Champions League Elite final to defend their title and go back-to-back, with Feras Al-Brikan scoring the only goal of the match in the 96th minute in extra time.
 
I add the Jordanian league is one below Uzbekistan but if the AFC is serious they need to start getting a few more Leagues involved. Jordan's world cup qualifying squad had a lot of domestic based players.

I think something needs to be done for more inter zone play during the league phase. A few games to add to the mix rather than many due to travel. I guess if it's only 2 then there's hardly any point but perhaps 4 other zone league games get drawn based on rank.

It'd be refreshing for Saudi clubs having to travel and despite the challenge, A League clubs to the ME. We used to go all the way to Uzbekistan.
